What's Happening in December!

Babysitting Fundraiser
Hey parents! Take a day off, relax, go to dinner or get some Christmas shopping done! The youth of CLC and several adult volunteers will be available from 10am to 8pm for babysitting at the church! We'll play Chadder the Chipmunk videos, play games, enjoy lunch and dinner and, most importantly, entertain the kids while you do what you need to do. Youth- sign up now to volunteer for this fundraiser for our youth group! Parents- call Alison in the church office to sign your kids up to be watched! Please sign your children up no later than December 1st!

High School Progressive Dinner
Our progressive dinner will be Sunday night, December 12th in place of youth group. We'll travel from home to home, enjoying appetizers, soup & salad and of course, the main dish! We'll come back to church for dessert and White Elephant gift exchange! We'll start at church at 5:00pm and be finished by 9:00pm. Please sign up by December 5th.

Southwest Community Center Gift Wrapping & Christmas Party
We'll travel up to Santa Ana on Wednesday, December 22nd from 1pm to 3pm to wrap gifts and distribute them to neighborhood children, who may not otherwise receive a Christmas present. Please come be a part of this special Service day. RSVP to Alison by December 12th.

Rose Parade Float Decorating
We'll be heading up to Pasadena on Wednesday, December 29th from 8am to 3:30pm to decorate floats for the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade! Join the Lutheran organization, Petal Pushers, for a fun day of float work! You must wear a Petal Pushers sweatshirt or t-shirt for the day- if you do not have one, we have many available to borrow. Sign up with Alison no later than December 26th. We will leave the church parking lot at 7:00am sharp!!!
